Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward
"Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward" is one of the most insane visual novels that you'll ever play. It's a sequel to the cult classic 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Door, and it's apart of the Zero Escape series which includes Zero Time Dilemma. If you thought 999 was wild, buckle up because this game is an absolute trip.
"Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward" was originally a 3DS and PS Vita game. Being a direct sequel, you'll notice some familiar themes, characters, and gameplay. You're once again in a life or death situation, and tons of branching paths. There are so many more endings compared to the first game and the story just gets wilder and wilder.
One of the best quality of life changes from the first game that was made was being able to jump to any section of the game. I believe the Steam version of 999 has this change as well, but it's just so so nice to have. You're still able to fast-forward through most of the game once you've already played scenes you've been through, so don't worry there.
Much like the other games in this series, it's a cult classic so it's gonna be expensive to pick up. Once again, if you're interested, the PC port of the game comes with 999 and it's probably the definitive way to play the game.
