"Delicious in Dungeon" or "Dungeon Meshi", which I will be referring to it as, is a manga that has been adapted into an anime. I first heard about it in December of 2023 when I was at a comic store with a friend. She pointed it out and said that it's really good and I should read it. I'm not really one for manga, but she's been raving about the anime. So I figured I'd take some time and watch through it.

"Dungeon Meshi" follows a party of adventurers on a quest to rescue their fallen party member deep in a dungeon. Our heroes are down on their luck and have used up pretty much all of their money and assets so they're struggling to get back on their feet. The main character, Laios, has the great idea of eating monsters in the dungeon in order to save money. Unfortunately, the book he has that contains info about the monsters isn't the greatest. It is then they find a dwarf who is an expert in dungeon foods.

It's a very fun anime and while I wouldn't put it in my top 10, it's one of the better animes I've seen this year.
